Ephesians 2:6-7

(Ephesians 2:6-7) 『 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 』 『 Hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus 』 . This word means "baptism." Everyone is dead in transgression and sin, saying, "The Spirit is dead to God." But for the world, it is alive. So salvation is the resurrection of the spirit that has died in transgression and sin. This is from Ephesians 2:8. 『 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 』 It means that salvation does not depend on humans. It is not true to say "accept God" because people decided to believe it. Because they are dead in transgression and sin. The dead must live with Jesus and accept God, but it would be true to say that we are dead. The key to salvation...

Ephesians 2: 8-10

(Ephesians 2: 8-10) 『 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 』 (Ephesians 2: 5), 『 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them . 』   Comparing the two sentences, we say that we are saved by grace (in 2: 5), and that you are saved by faith for grace (for 2: 8). "Faith is the gift of God." It is the order of grace, faith, and gift. God does not give grace to anyone, but gives grace to those who are in Christ as in 2: 7. So, before God's grace, "to say that man believes in God" is false. The people of the church pray for grace from God. If their problems are solved, they experience miracles, and their quality of life improves, they will say, "We have been favored by God." But...

Ephesians 2:11-22

(Ephesians 2:11-22) Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.   For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;   Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;   And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:   And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Fa...

Ephesians 3:1-11

(Ephesians 3:1-11) For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,   If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid...

Ephesians 3:12-21

(Ephesians 3:12-21) In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.   Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.   For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,   Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,   That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;   That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,   May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;   And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.   Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without en...

Ephesians 4:1-10

One Lord, one faith, one baptism I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) (Ephesians 4:1-10) Here, 『unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Chr...

Ephesians 4:11-21

(Ephesians 4:11-21) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;   For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:   From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth wal...
