Ephesians 5:8-13

(Ephesians 5:8-13)

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)  Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.  And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord Those who were in the darkness were servants of Satan before, but they became free people in Christ, and they received the true light from God, and they become light in Christ. This light is not the light of the world, but the light of God's kingdom (the light of life). In John 8:12, Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Because the body of fresh (old man) died and was reborn as a body of spirit, Satan cannot reach it because the Holy Spirit is with him. In 1 John 5:18 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

The fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth. Based on these words, they think that they should bear fruit through good deeds, righteousness, and sincerity. Who is the example of this fruit of life? When it comes to bearing the fruit of life, "Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord." In Luke 15:7, I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. So, Jesus said in Luke 5:32, I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Said. Jesus is pleased to give the kingdom of God to those who repent. In Ephesians 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, It is God's pleasure that sinners repent and become sons of God.

Good life is the fruit of "living the spirit that is dead in man, not thinking of people who think they have lived to live in this world, leaving behind the achievements of greatness and thinking that they are good." This means to shine the light of life on others. Jesus died on the cross to shine the light of life. We too must carry our cross to shine the "light of life". Carrying your cross is to die with Jesus.

Bringing fruit through good deeds, righteousness and sincerity. Only God is good. So only God is righteous and true. It is God's approval for those who have been sent by God and those who come into Christ. In Romans 5:8-10 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

It is difficult to think of ``fruiting through good deeds, righteousness and sincerity'' as being recognized by the human eye. In God's eyes, it is to be fruitful. If it were to be seen by the human eye, then all that would be done in this world would be true, but God is not interested in the things of the world. God's concern is to believe in the Son (Christ). It should not be considered that being fruitful through good deeds, righteousness, and sincerity is the life that a saved person should live in this world. It is to become a life to live for the kingdom of God.

In John 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. The "making fruit" is to receive the light of God in Christ and become life, and to pass that light to others to become the light of life. So, God is pleased that the kingdom of God expands on this earth. All things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light

Everything in this world will be rebuked by God. No matter how good the world looks, good without God is evil before God. Because it is revealed before God's light. Christ is the light of God in this world. The ransom of Christ's death on the cross was to save all repentant sinners. All human beings are evil before God unless they come into Christ. Because there is no light from God. So, through Christ, we can know whether or not there is the light of God.
